Headstone

During the previous visits, his site was marked with a temporary tag; the “temporary” nature of it made seeing his name in a cemetery feel less real.  Now, the white, deeply etched stone declares permanence, as if the date, January 25, 2012, is no longer negotiable.  The sod is not yet planted in his row, so the ground is soft and you can clearly see the tracks of deer who must visit at night to snack on the flowers.  He is plot # JJ-B 913 , should you like to stop by.
